Thania P. Godinez

Thania holds multiple degrees from St. Mary’s University. In 2014, she earned a double-major bachelor’s degree in international business and marketing. She graduated with honors and had the privilege of studying abroad at the IAE Bordeaux International School of Management in Bordeaux, France. Thania is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and the recipient of the Bill Greehey School of Business “Outstanding Future Leader Award” two years in a row (2012 and 2013). During her time at the St. Mary’s Bill Greehey School of Business, she was President of various student organizations and was invited to become a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success in 2014.

In 2015, Thania went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration Degree. While pursuing her degree, she studied abroad at the Kolding International Business Academy in Kolding, Denmark during the summer of 2015. It was this experience that changed her view on efficiency and the importance of being an early riser to maximize the day.

After a short time in industry, Thania felt her childhood dream of becoming a lawyer calling her back to law school. She attended St. Mary’s University School of Law and became a licensed attorney in 2020. During law school, she earned her place as an octa-finalist in the Linda and Dave Schlueter 1L Moot Court Competition. She joined the St. Mary’s Journal as a staff writer after her 1L year. During her 2L year, Thania had the honor of participating in the “Doing Business in Mexico Legal Program”, at the Universidad de Guadalajara, in Guadalajara, Mexico and won her first trial as a student attorney at the Center for Legal and Social Justice Immigration and Human Rights Clinic.

As a practicing attorney, Thania also has experience in corporate, trusts, international transactions, and immigration litigation and appeals. She looks forward to serving her clients and utilizing all the knowledge she accumulated to find a solution to their legal concerns. She has been a member of the Texas Bar College, a professional society of legal scholars, since 2022.

Thania will be handling insurance defense matters including motor vehicle and trucking accidents, premises liability matters, and general negligence cases.

Thania is fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken), conversational in French and basic German.

Thania is an avid traveler who loves spending time with her family, hiking, eating delicious food, pretending she is a gemologist and playing with her two dogs—a loyal lab-mix named Loki and an energetic golden-doodle puppy named Kenji.
